This region of Lavaux was created by the decline of a glacier 15’000 years ago which gave it its elongated shape and steep slopes. In the 12th century, Cistercian monks built miles of walls and terraces, later cultivating vineyards and producing wine. The tradition has endured to this day and the region has become a land of inspiration and heritage classified by UNESCO 🍁 Today people were celebrating the end of the grape harvest, a reminder of how important this moment of the year used to be for our ancestors and how sacred this passage was, and still is for many on the planet ✨☀️GRATITUDE for Gaia, for our Sun and for those who have come before us ✨💛💛💛

Au XIIe siècle, les moines cisterciens ont construit des kilomètres de murs et de terrasses, pour ensuite cultiver la vigne et produire du vin. La tradition s’est perpétuée jusqu’à aujourd’hui et la région est devenue une terre d’inspiration et de patrimoine classée par l’UNESCO 🍁 Aujourd’hui, on célébrait la fin des vendanges, un rappel de l’importance de ce moment de l’année pour nos ancêtres et du caractère sacré de ce passage, qui l’était et l’est encore pour beaucoup sur la planète ✨☀️GRATITUDE pour Gaia, pour notre Soleil et pour tous ceux qui nous ont précédés ✨💛💛💛
